Hogan oil not registered as a business in Australia

Ipswich, Queensland 44 comments
Not resolved

I came across Hogan Oil on the internet looking for jobs in the oil industry and made an online application and of course in the submissions area a pop up asked me for a $214 application fee wich immediately rang the alarm bells, I then opened a new tab and went to our local business registratioins branch in the Office of Fair Trading in Queensland and suprise surprise surprise!!! further enquiries to ASIC [Australin Securities and Investment Commission turned up a Zero result. Subsequent enquiries to other states consumer protection branches revealed the same and that in Victoria they are under investigation after several complaints from consumers in that state.

he is Tony Wayne Katavich of Nelson New Zealand. He drives a black American Lincoln car.

He is a philanderer with his staff and only hires young impressionable women to work for him.

Australia mining is a scam and Tony Katavich has never worked in the mines or have any knowledge of the industry. He is a fraud, liar and a thief who is about to have a massive fall from grace.

yup Tony Haldeman Katavich - alive and well in Nelson employing 18 year old bimbos to do his dirty work - under the pretence of Internet Publishers

I have done some work for tony katavich and I saw no legitimacy in any of the services he provides. I have a studied mental illness and he is definetly suffering deep confidence and self esteem issues due to his appearance. I know for a fact the all of his staff members think he is a joke.

I also know that Tony Katavich keeps a close eye on the many message boards about him so this is directed at him.

All I can say is a Google search of Haldeman LLC, Tony Katavich etc brings up a lot of unhappy people. Company is Registered in Nevada, they money upfront with no guarantee of jobs, address is a US mail drop company...if this doesnt give you enough warning then you deserve to be parted with your money and it will be a good lesson.

Thank you all.I am currently in the process of changing from military to civilinan and have a family to feed.

Its so morally wrong to prey on the families who are transitioning into other careers. During these times money is tight enough without scammers.

Someone should put them away for life.Again, thank you all so much.

Hi, I don't know if anyone will read this but stare well clear of anything to do with mining Australia or Oil Australia.

I had the pleasure (not) of working for these a**holes for a couple of months last summer. Don't give them a cent of your money.

Spread the word.

Following is a copy of the email I sent back to Hogan Oil. I had sent basic information to them but NO money. Hopefully after reading this email, you will further see that Hogan Oil is one of the biggest scams going around.

Hi Sarah (if thats your real name),

I am an average / hard working citizen with goals and ambitions, to attain work in the Oil

industry. As you could see that I sent my application off to you in the early hours of the

morning.

Thank you for trying to rip me off. As I progressed with the information that I was sending

you, I became a little suspicious. Upon further investigation, I have found out that the fee

you charge for simply sending an email reply was $214.00. Not bad for just sending an email

and maybe an information pack (whoopee ***' do, let's have a party). I have also

found other complaints about the company and in particular Tony Katavich. Please pass on a

message to Tony, that if I ever lay eyes on him, he better make sure that he has Private

health insurance because he will need to use it once I am finished with him. Oh, did that

sound like a threat, mmm YES it was, trust me. If Mr. John Campbell can find you, so will I.

Your website should be barred from the WWW.

Please do not reply to this email as you have already pissed me off. You can also tell

Vincent (what a poofie name) that he doesn't need to touch base with me...

he an assist me. He will also get a reaction of how I will touch his face with my fist.

Ohh....sorry that sounded like another threat.....YES it was.

If this means anything to you it should creep inside your little brain that you most

probably don't care about human beings to much, but one day, you will cross the wrong

person at the wrong time and you will pay the price for being a lowlife *** that you

really are.

Finally, *** OFF and stop trying to rip people off who are just trying to make an honest

living.

John :-) - see I can put on a fake smile as well

Website oil-australia.com takes you to same home page as hogan-oil.com

This is really disappointing. We all have a passion for getting into oil&gas and these bastards just exploit it .... and the consumer protection bods don't seem to be concerned either.

Hussss.I saw a tv programme on this company/ website here in New Zealand.

the owner is a husshole by the name of Tony Katavich, the tv show tracked him down to a small office with no company name, and he would not talk to the cameras or answer any questions, They basically send you out information you can find yourself for free anyway.

and refuse any contact with you after you have paid your 214 Hua.tonys address can be found if you go to 3 news.com

Hi I was just about to be sucked in to paying the money and actually went into what "seemed" to be an office in the city.I searched everywhere for the office and couldn't find it.

I then poped into an office to ask if they knew where it was, to my shock and suprise they told me all the stories about Hogan's oil and on top of that said "they don't even have an office just a letter box". I couldn't believe it!

It all makes sense, they don't even have a contact number on their website just an email address because I tried to call them.Glad I walked into that office before making any payments!!!

#136796

yeah i sent them my deatails and they sent back an email saying Hogaboil thinks you'd be great in the oil industry.

i never sent them a CV, never spoke to them and they don't know anything about me at all.

how would they know i would be great then?

Hogan Oil is a ripoff and a scam. they should be shut down.

yeah I went ahead & gave them the asking fee back in early Feburary, after they told me that one of them seen it come through late that aftrenoon, they then proceeded to tell me that my application looked really good & that they were going to do an "All nighter" to help me out."Because that's what we do at Hogan".

quote.I basically have not heard from them since which is now 1.5months ago.

Look if there is anyone out there that can help me with gaining an "Entry Level" job on a off shore rig I am all ears.

Cheers

Yeah, this is the exact same E-mail that I was also sent, even though I rang their office two minutes after application was sent, and specifically asked Receptionist chic to delete it from their E-mails, I then rang onother chic who had her phone number on the E-mail sent to me and gave her half an ear full, why my E-mail wasn't deleted on request?, then asked her to forget all about it and destroy/delete any of my personal details.Hope she's smart !!!! :?
